Bernard Sahut
Innovation Team Manager: Energy Production & Storage Systems
PSA Peugeot Citroen
After a classical university programme, I received, in 1997, my PhD in inorganic chemistry (material and catalysis), from Pierre & Marie CURIE University (Paris 6). Then, I spent 4 years for a French “specialty chemistry” company as engineer, in charge of development and industrialization of new materials based on Sol-Gel technology, dedicated to optical lenses, electronic and automotive application.
I joined the PSA group in 2002. In 2007, I moved to the Research and Advanced Engineering Department, as Innovation Team Manager. At the end of 2007, I was named as “Batteries expert” for PSA Group. My team is dedicated to “Generation and Energy Storage Systems”, including Fuel Cell activities. Our leading activities are focused on concepts, dedicated to improve “fun to drive” and reduce fuel consumption of PSA’s vehicles (micro hybrids, full hybrids, electrical vehicles). We work on technological solutions since the energy production (fuel cells, electrical machines …) to loads and equipment, through electrochemical energy storage (batteries), distribution and management.
